The 5th International Conference on Energy Engineering, New Energy Materials and Devices (NEMD 2025) was successfully held at Guilin University of Technology from May 16 to 18, 2025.The conference adopted a hybrid format combining online and offline participation, bringing together over 300 experts and scholars from universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally.

2025年5月16-18日，第五届能源工程、新能源材料与器件国际学术会议（NEMD 2025）在桂林理工大学顺利召开。此次大会由桂林理工大学主办，桂林理工大学材料科学与工程学院、有色金属及材料加工新技术教育部重点实验室桂林理工大学分室、广西光电材料与器件自治区重点实验室、有色金属矿产勘查与资源高效利用省部共建协同创新中心、AEIC 学术交流中心联合承办，哈尔滨工业大学能源科学与工程学院协办。本次会议采用线上+线下混合模式，聚集了国内外高校及科研单位超300名专家学者。

The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Huanfu Zhou, Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Guilin University of Technology.

大会开幕式由桂林理工大学材料科学与工程学院院长周焕福教授主持。

Prof. Lei Wang, Vice President of Guilin University of Technology, andProf. Zhonglin Wang, Conference Chair, delivered opening remarks respectively, extending sincere greetings to both online and onsite participants. They emphasized that the conference aims to deepen interdisciplinary integration in the fields of energy engineering, new energy materials, and devices, and expressed hope that this event will serve as a significant impetus for promoting international academic innovation and collaborative development among academia, industry, and research.

The conference invited seven experts to deliver keynote speeches, including Academician Zhonglin Wang, Prof. Chenguo Hu, Prof. Lixian Sun, Prof. Guohua Jia, Prof. Daibin Kuang, Prof. Qingsheng Zeng, and Prof. Yuanli Liu. They shared and exchanged insights on key issues in the fields of energy engineering, new energy materials, and devices. During the conference, both online and offline participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the latest developments in the field, establishing a high-level academic dialogue platform.

大会邀请中国科学院北京纳米能源与系统研究所王中林院士，重庆大学胡陈果教授，桂林电子科技大学孙立贤教授，澳大利亚科廷大学夹国华教授，中山大学匡代彬教授，魁北克大学(首都分校)曾庆生教授，桂林理工大学刘远立教授等七位专家作大会报告，围绕能源工程、新能源材料与器件领域的关键问题，进行分享和交流。会议期间，线上线下参会代表围绕领域的前沿动态展开深入交流，构建了高水平的学术对话平台。

The conference featured a rich agenda and, to establish a multidimensional academic exchange system, it included keynote speeches and two thematic sub-forums. In the sub-forums, 48 scholars from universities and research institutions presented oral reports. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics, creating a lively academic atmosphere. The conference also specially set up three categories of academic awards: Best Paper, Oral Presentation, and Poster Presentation. After evaluation by the expert committee, the final awards included the Young Scientist Award (7 recipients), Best Oral Presentation (6 recipients), and Best Poster Presentation (2 recipients).

本次会议议程丰富，为构建多维度的学术交流体系，大会设置了主讲报告及两个专题分会场。在专题分会场中，来自高校和科研单位的48名学者进行口头报告分享。与会学者围绕前沿议题展开深度研讨，现场学术氛围热烈。会议特设最佳论文、论文及海报三大类学术奖项。经过组委会专家评选，最终评选出青年科学家奖（7人）、最佳口头报告（6人）、最佳海报展示（2人）。

After fruitful and productive exchanges and discussions, the 2025 5th International Conference on Energy Engineering, New Energy Materials and Devices (NEMD 2025) concluded successfully. The conference conducted in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics and fostered the emergence of multiple interdisciplinary collaborative projects. The successful organization of this conference conveyed the latest technological advances and achievements, promoted the exchange of technologies and the collision of ideas, and will drive innovation and integrated development within the discipline.
